Ridgecrest Elementary

A new concrete parking lot was constructed at Ridgecrest Elementary, including walkways and site concrete. This project required meticulous planning and staging in order to maintain traffic flow in front of the school, as well as not disturb nearby residents and park patrons. Ultimately, Acme Construction was able to deliver excellent quality work to great applaud from the school administration, city, and students who attend Ridgecrest Elementary.

13200 S Phase 2

The 13200 S Phase 2 project involved the removal and replacement of the existing road and intersection including new utilities in a historic neighborhood. Acme Construction worked closely with the residents along the project and maintained driveway access by using high early concrete. This project also required coordination with several utility companies and their contractors who took advantage of the opportunity to improve their facilities while the road was under construction.

The Gateway

Large sections of stone pavement sections throughout The Gateway shopping mall were torn up and replaced with colored and stamped concrete. Acme Construction was contracted by The Gateway’s property manager because of our reputation for timeliness and quality of work. This project required a strict timeline which would be completed before shopping season began–a schedule which Acme was confident we could meet. Not only did we complete the project within the appropriate time, but we did so with minimal disturbance to mall patrons and local residents, while still being able to work with project managers to implement value engineering into aspects of the design and materials.

Mountain View Corridor

The Mountain View Corridor was a multi-year project to install a new highway along the west side of the Salt Lake Valley. Acme’s $4.1M portion of this project involved the placement of all curb & gutter, median barrier and flatwork along the 16.5 mile stretch of highway.

Taylorsville City Hall Parking Lot

In 2011, Acme Construction installed a pervious concrete parking lot for the city of Taylorsville with underground detention basins. Through value engineering and working closely with the design team, Acme Construction was able to deliver the longevity and environmental benefits of a pervious concrete parking lot within the original project budget.
