Antelope Drive

The US-89; Antelope Drive Intersection Improvement Project connected Antelope Drive from its previous ending point in east Layton to U.S. Highway 89. The project was designed to improve greater east/west connectivity in Layton City. This project also added a new frontage road that serves as a collector for seven current access points on Highway 89. Construction included the removal of the old roadway as well as the base materials it was built on. Crews then built a completely new roadway integrating updated design and safety features, including frontage road, and a new intersection at Highway 89 and Antelope Drive. The project increased safety by closing 7 access points that are now served by the new frontage road and the new signal-controlled intersection at Highway 89. By completing this project, Acme was able to optimize mobility in Utah’s transportation system.

13200 S Phase 2

The 13200 S Phase 2 project involved the removal and replacement of the existing road and intersection including new utilities in a historic neighborhood. Acme Construction worked closely with the residents along the project and maintained driveway access by using high early concrete. This project also required coordination with several utility companies and their contractors who took advantage of the opportunity to improve their facilities while the road was under construction.

Jordan River Trail

During the summer of 2014, Acme Construction extended and improved the Jordan River Trail through the employment of earthwork, asphalt, piping, structural concrete, and a large pedestrian bridge that spans the Jordan River. Together with the Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation department, we were able to successfully construct a recreational area for Utah valley residents to utilize and enjoy. While the project offered many challenges, Acme’s extensive experience and knowledge allowed us to overcome them and finish the project within every constraint while still meeting every goal.

Mountain View Corridor

The Mountain View Corridor was a multi-year project to install a new highway along the west side of the Salt Lake Valley. Acme’s $4.1M portion of this project involved the placement of all curb & gutter, median barrier and flatwork along the 16.5 mile stretch of highway.
